The Florida Building Commission is already publishing 9th Edition resources and analyses of changes across major code areas. For continuing education, one distinction is especially important: learning about upcoming 9th Edition changes is not automatically the same thing as completing an approved Advanced Code CE requirement.
Professionals may encounter 9th Edition educational material before December 31, 2026. That does not change the current effective date.
