No. Most renewing Florida PEs need 18 hours, but first-time Florida licensees issued on or after March 1, 2025 generally need only the approved Laws & Rules course and an Ethics course for their first 2027 renewal. Check the applicable requirements.
No. The 14-hour core contains 1 hour Laws & Rules, 1 hour Ethics, and 12 hours of pertinent engineering. Four additional qualifying Area-of-Practice hours are still required for a standard 18-hour renewal.
