About This Package

For engineers who need HVAC and pumping coursework

Choose this online technical bundle when your practice involves building mechanical systems and the performance of pumps, piping and valves. Two four-hour courses provide eight CEH/PDH without adding the broader subjects in an 18-hour renewal package.

How the mechanical subjects fit together

The HVAC course follows design intent through constructability review, distribution systems, controls, commissioning, functional testing and operation. The pumping course examines system boundaries, friction and local losses, pump-system curves, suction and net positive suction head, valve response, speed control, parallel operation and energy use.

Together, the courses connect building-system review with hydraulic and operating evidence. They are suited to practicing engineers reviewing installations or troubleshooting performance, rather than serving as introductory trade training. Each course includes learning material, an examination and a completion certificate.

Technical bundle or full renewal selection?

Mechanical / Pumps & Fluid Systems is the 18-hour renewal package containing these same two courses plus quality assurance, engineering economics, reliability, Laws & Rules and Ethics. Mechanical / Thermal Systems combines HVAC with boilers and steam instead of the separate pumping course. Compare the actual subjects and your completed courses before choosing.

Important exclusions

This bundle does not include Laws & Rules, Ethics, boilers or the other supporting courses in the full renewal package. Eight hours alone do not complete Florida's 18-hour PE renewal requirement. Confirm that the courses fit your area of practice and remaining credits. An Advanced Florida Building Code course is not included; obtain it separately when applicable.
