About This Course
This 4-CEH/PDH Mechanical Engineering Area-of-Practice course develops a design-to-operation review method for HVAC and building mechanical systems. The course emphasizes whether design intent can survive coordination, installation, controls programming, testing, balancing, commissioning, turnover, and operation.
Learners examine HVAC design criteria and system intent, constructability and maintainability, airside and hydronic distribution, sequences of operation, sensors and control logic, commissioning and functional performance testing, and integrated case-based troubleshooting.
The course is intended for practicing mechanical engineers and other HVAC/building-systems professionals who already understand core mechanical concepts and need a disciplined framework for reviewing real project documents, field conditions, controls, and performance evidence.
