Florida PE 18-Hour Renewal — Civil / Roadway Drainage

Choose this online renewal package when your responsibilities cross transportation documents, drainage performance and construction delivery. The selection pairs a four-hour transportation-coordination course with three hours of roadway drainage and stormwater instruction.

What the roadway coursework covers

The transportation course addresses plans, specifications, multidisciplinary conflicts, testing, nonconforming work and closeout records. The drainage course examines field evidence, small-catchment runoff, inlet capture and bypass, pipe-capacity checks, hydraulic grade, detention storage and constraints on green-street features.

Nine supporting engineering hours cover quality assurance and design review, critical-path scheduling, cost estimating and construction safety. One hour each of Florida Laws & Rules and Engineering Ethics completes the 18-hour selection. Together, the courses address both technical drainage questions and the documents, controls and decisions needed to deliver roadway work.

Roadway Drainage or Pavement & Drainage?

This package includes four hours of engineering quality assurance. Civil / Pavement & Drainage replaces that course with Pavement Distress, Rehabilitation & Resurfacing while keeping the transportation, drainage and construction-delivery courses. Choose the pavement option when evaluating pavement condition and treatment selection is central to your work. The seven-PDH Roadway Drainage & Coordination bundle contains only the transportation and drainage courses.

Credits and important exclusions

Includes 18 CEH/PDH: 1 Laws & Rules, 1 Ethics and 16 engineering hours. Confirm at least four technical hours relate to your area of practice. The pavement rehabilitation course is not included here. This is PE continuing education, not contractor-license renewal. An Advanced Florida Building Code course is not included; obtain it separately when applicable.
