About This Course
This 1-CEH course gives professional engineers and construction professionals a practical framework for recognizing construction hazards, understanding OSHA-defined role boundaries, integrating Prevention through Design and the hierarchy of controls into engineering and field decisions, and responding appropriately when conditions change.
Learners examine the Construction Focus Four, competent-person and qualified-person roles, registered-professional-engineer responsibilities, excavations, scaffolds and elevated work, cranes and rigging, temporary electrical systems, multi-employer worksites, changed conditions, severe-event reporting awareness, and a field-response sequence built around pausing exposure, protecting within authority, notifying, escalating, documenting, and verifying closure.
This course is professional continuing education and is not OSHA 10-hour or 30-hour Outreach Training and does not issue an OSHA card.
The course concludes with a 10-question multiple-choice final examination. A score of 70% is required to pass, and retakes are permitted until passed.
