About This Package
For engineers planning and delivering roadway rehabilitation
Choose this online renewal package when your work connects pavement condition, drainage constraints and the construction documents needed to deliver a roadway project. Its eleven-hour specialty selection combines pavement rehabilitation, transportation coordination and stormwater infrastructure rather than a single broad civil-engineering survey.
What the roadway courses cover
The four-hour pavement course examines field investigation, asphalt and concrete distress, treatment selection, milling and resurfacing interfaces, construction verification and evidence-based rehabilitation recommendations. The four-hour transportation course addresses plans, specifications, multidisciplinary coordination, nonconforming work and closeout records. Three drainage hours cover runoff, inlet capture, pipe-capacity checks, hydraulic grade, storage and green-street constraints.
Five supporting engineering hours cover critical-path scheduling, cost estimating and construction safety. One hour each of Florida Laws & Rules and Engineering Ethics completes the 18-hour selection. The combination follows the relationship between diagnosing roadway problems, selecting work and controlling its delivery.
How this differs from Civil / Roadway Drainage
Both packages include the transportation, drainage, scheduling, estimating and safety courses. Pavement & Drainage includes four hours of pavement rehabilitation instead of the four-hour quality-assurance course in Civil / Roadway Drainage. Choose this package for pavement investigation and treatment decisions; choose Roadway Drainage for the additional design-review and change-control coursework.
Credits and important exclusions
Includes 18 CEH/PDH: 1 Laws & Rules, 1 Ethics and 16 engineering hours. Confirm at least four technical hours match your area of practice. The separate quality-assurance and temporary-works courses are not included. This is PE continuing education, not contractor-license renewal. An Advanced Florida Building Code course is not included; obtain it separately when applicable. Review prior completions because the civil packages share courses.
