Three rules that prevent most CE planning mistakes
Start with the licensing board, not a generic PDH target.
Renewal periods, required subjects, carryover, online limits, exemptions, provider rules, and reporting methods differ by jurisdiction.
Separate a course's educational value from its regulatory acceptance.
A useful engineering course is not automatically acceptable for every license. Verify the board rule and the documentation needed for the specific jurisdiction.
Keep the evidence while you earn the hours.
Record titles, dates, providers, learning activity, credit claimed, and supporting certificates as you go rather than reconstructing a renewal cycle at the deadline.
