About This Course
This 4-PDH Mechanical Engineering Area-of-Practice course develops an applied method for evaluating boiler duties, steam delivery, condensate recovery and heat-exchanger performance across an integrated thermal plant.
The six modules cover boiler and feedwater energy boundaries; steam properties, distribution and drainage; condensate return and flash recovery; exchanger duty, LMTD, fouling and steam-control stall; installation, service access and acceptance evidence; and an integrated diagnostic case.
Worked calculations, twelve original figures and practical cases connect system measurements to engineering decisions. The course includes a downloadable production learner PDF and a ten-question final examination. A passing score is 70%; retakes are permitted.
Engineering lead: William Chase Roberts, P.E. Construction and teaching contribution: John W. Adcox Jr., Ed.D., CPC.
